Wakamiya Kindergarten was founded in 1951 by Hiromitsu Nakamura.
After his long experience of teaching at elementary schools, junior high schools, and high schools, he was overwhelmed with the devastated society of the postwar of the WWII. He believed that preschool education of children who will take over the society will be the most important key of the future. Since then, as part of Wakamiya kindergarten, we always try to offer the best to the children and our society.
Wakamiya kindergarten celebrated the 50th anniversary of founding in 2001. We, as pioneers of the preschool education, continully offer the great natural environment, 2 stories of fully equipped facilities, a large and a medium size playgrounds, and many experienced instructors. Needless to say, we offer the finest education for all the children with varied abilities, needs, and socio-economic backgrounds.

Our Philosophy is "to be impressed together". This may sounds a bit funny, but we all would like to share "the moment." Children learn from education, events and from their own playgrounds. Once, children come to a kindergarten, they learn relationships with others, then make their own society. They will have a lot of smiles and tears from this experience, but this "moment" is very special and we would like to share. We cannot creat the "moment", but we can try our best to see our children's special "moments".
